Junior and Senior Usher Board Ministry
Scripture: Psalm 84:10 (KJV) “For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a door keeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of the wickedness.”

Mission: Ushering duties encompass five specific areas: to assist the pastor, meet and greet the people, maintain order, collect tithes and offerings and to keep distractions to a minimum. Ushers represent Jesus and His church, making people feel special. Our mission is to serve together to demonstrate God’s commission to us, to prayerfully promote an atmosphere where all those entering the church will feel welcomed.

Purpose: An usher must view the church as a place to save lost souls and to help those in the ministry. The heart of an usher is the heart of a servant, one who serves God. As a door keeper our purpose is to usher people into the presence of the Lord.

Choir Ministry

Scripture: 2 Chronicles 5:12-14 (KJV) Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets. It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord; So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.

Mission: Our mission is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through song and music.

Purpose: The purpose is to lead the congregation in worship using songs and instruments, while providing an atmosphere that will usher in the Glory of God and win souls to Christ.
