Psalm 16:1 “Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.”

Minister Dale Hamlette Crews is a native of Campbell County Virginia.  She was born in Lynchburg and raised in Gladys, Virginia.  She is the daughter of the late Earnestine Hamlette and Ocie Hubbard of Gladys.  Raised by her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. James Jackson she attended public school in Campbell County and was a 1978 graduate of William Campbell High School.  She was a former member of Organ Chapel AME Church in Gladys. After the death of her grandmother in 1979 she relocated to Gretna, Virginia and still remains a resident.

In 1983 she was married to John Joe Crews III and to this union two children were born Audrey and John.  Today she is the proud grandmother of 8 grandchildren.  She moved her membership from Organ Chapel to Fairview in 1985 where she became an active member serving in various auxiliaries such as Sunday School Secretary, Usher Board and Missionary President, member of the Gospel Chorus and Bible Study student.  She was licensed by her former Pastor Herbert White and preached her initial sermon in November 2003.  She loves the Lord and loves working for the Lord.

Leslie M Waller Jr.

Minister Leslie M Waller Jr. a resident of Danville Virginia. He is a single parent of two daughters, one son and is a Grand Pa.  He is the second of seven children of the late Leslie Waller Sr. and the late Doris Taylor of Flint Michigan and the Grandson of the late Hezekiah and Berkley Waller of Chatham VA.

  • Doctoral Candidate Capella University Minneapolis Minnesota

Minister Waller was lead to Chatham Virginia in 1982 by a praying Grandmother. He fell in love with Virginia and his new found home and family. Wanting to continue his Christian experience, Waller joined Fairview Baptist Church shortly after arrival to Virginia. While at Fairview he was the Adult Sunday school teacher.  Waller was lead by the Spirit to Union Street Missionary Baptist Church of Danville VA under the pastoral leadership of Dr. Samuel Griffith. While at Union Street, Waller accepted his call to the Ministry and was licensed by Union Street Missionary Baptist Church in ——  He returned to Fairview in the fall of 2011 and is very glad to be home.

Minister Waller believes:  Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Matthew 22:37-39
